I hiked from the Kemble Management Area, along the ridge above the Slough of Despond, and then along Skinners Bluff to Bruce’s Caves. On my return I stayed on the Bruce Trail, rather than taking the Slough of Despond Side Trail. The cliffs and bluffs are what remain of ancient deep-water coral reefs. See Maps 34 and 35 in the Bruce Trail Reference: 25th Edition.
